Some critical issues facing farmers in 2022, the way I see it:
- Disruption of supply chains
- High input costs
- Fertilizer rates??
- Tight feed supplies.
- Lack of moisture
What can one do? Connect, connect and connect with peers, suppliers, vendors, agronomists, accountants, and financial advisors. Discussions and meetings on planning, risk management, marketing, cropping, needs vs wants and cash flow issues for 2022 starts today. These are major areas of risk, however, the biggest risk is doing nothing.
You will be much more comfortable when you have an understanding of how these risks can be addressed, in what fashion and how will it play out over the long term. I encourage you to set up appointments today to see your suppliers and professionals.
Our doors are always open for discussion.
A farmer is someone who is responsible for feeding the world rather than performing a task.
